HESI – MTSU Nursing Admission Assessment

Items required at testing appointment

• Evolve account username and password – very important
• A valid, unexpired driver’s license or passport
• A four-function, scientific, or graphing calculator may be used on the HESI exam (TI-89 calculators are not permitted). An online exam calculator is available.

Test Dates

HESI exams are administered Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In-Person Registration

Prior to the testing appointment

• Go to the Elsevier website to create an Evolve account (click on “I’m a Student” then click on “Sign In”) .
• Create an account; remember your user id and password, you will need them on test day.
• An account must be created to take the exam and view scores.
• After you receive a registration link form the test center, follow the instructions under the “Exam Registration” section provided by Elsevier

Visitors (Parking Passes)

All visitors are requested to contact Parking and Transportation Services office at:

or go online, create a guest account, and print a visitor pass.

Please review current campus parking notices before arriving. Legal parking areas are designated by signs, painted stripes, or other markings. Be sure to check the posted signs BEFORE you park your automobile.

Additional Information

• The exam is administered on individual computers.
• Appointments are typically available weekdays at 8:30 a.m.
• Cost is $78.00 plus a $3.50 online convenience fee.
• The exam has a four-hour time limit
• MTSU students required to wait fourteen (14) days before retaking the test.
